Crab Fest 2025

In loving memory of Bryan Dilworth, we’ll be back at Elk Neck State Park, just outside of Elkton, MD to enjoy crabs and other BBQ favorites on Saturday, August 9, 2025. 

Where is it?

4395 Turkey Point Rd, North East, MD 21901
North East Beach, Shelter 1

Follow Route 272 South from Elkton, 1/3 mile past park headquarters, turn right onto North East Beach Road.
There are parking lots very close to the pavilion.
Note that it costs $5 per car (cash) to enter this state park. 

What time of day is this jawn? Roll in any time after 12 noon. Crabs arrive at 1 PM. 

What’s on the menu? Besides blue crabs and shrimp we’ll have corn, and red potatoes from Woody’s Crab Shack. We’ll also be grilling up hot dogs and hamburgers, as well as Beyond Burgers. We’ll also have some frozen treats.

What about drinks? Alcohol is allowed in this park, though it has to stay in the shelters/pavilions. We will make sure there are some coolers of good beer and hard seltzer, but if you want to bring a six of something in your own cooler, please do!  We’ll also have NA options like seltzer and soda.

I heard there’s camping at Elk Neck? Yes, there is RV and tent camping, but reservations are required. Check out the reservation system here.

What else is at the park? The shelters are within walking distance of North East Beach, which has a playground for kids and swimming in the Chesapeake Bay. There’s also a decent men’s and women’s bathroom between the shelters, and we’re renting some hand-washing stations so folks can manage their Old Bay exposure. We’ll also have some outdoor games like washers, and we’ll set up croquet if we can find a space for that.

What else should I bring?  Might want to bring a lawn/camp chair and a hat. And dice. And some $1s.

Can I bring my partner/significant other/kids? Definitely! Just let us know on the RSVP form the people who are in your family unit. Only one person per couple/family needs to RSVP.

What if I’m not sure if I can come? If you are TBD, it’s better if you fill this out now so we can keep in touch with you, even if you have to decline later. You can also send regrets on the RSVP form.
